In 2005 Gulf Craft introduced the Oryx sport cruiser – the sea-borne equivalent of an elite sports car – that became an instant hit within weeks of its launch. Now the Oryx has evolved into a range of high-performance sport yachts and cruisers of different sizes that are exported worldwide. In 2009 Gulf Craft launched the Oryx 54 fly-bridge luxury sports yacht, taking the already hugely popular Oryx range to another level and cementing its popularity among sport boat enthusiasts.

The launch was soon followed by another addition to the Oryx line up, the Oryx 46 fly-bridge luxury sports yacht. This new model featured for the first time the performance enhancing Volvo Penta IPS600 system which offered Oryx owners unmatched ease of use through enhanced electronic steering of the innovative drive system and lower fuel consumption for the same performance.
